Dental Bridges

Dental bridges, as the name suggests, literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. They consist of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between. These false teeth can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials, offering a natural look and feel.

The procedure for bridges typically involves a few stages. Initially, the abutment teeth are prepared, which involves recontouring these teeth by removing a portion of enamel to allow room for a crown to be placed over them. Next, impressions of the teeth are made, serving as a model from which the bridge, pontic (false tooth), and crowns will be made. A temporary bridge is worn for protection until the custom-made bridge is prepared.
